Aktuell Live API Probleme bei geocaching.com

Vorsorglich möchte ich darauf hinweisen, daß es scheinbar bei geocaching.com bereits seit einigen Problemen mit Live API Abfragen gibt.

Solltet Ihr also in GAPP aktuell Probleme im Bereich der Live API haben, so liegt es recht wahrscheinlich daran...

die im blauen Forum aufgeführten Probleme kann ich nur bestätigen. Ab und zu hatte ich jedoch Glück und es funktionierte. Da GS aber von Problemen mit ihren Apps getwittert hatte, habe ich es auch eher auf GS geschoben. Warten wir es also ab (hoffentlich nicht zu lange!).

Gut zu wissen. Ich dachte schon, ich bildete mir die ständigen Abbrüche der Übertragungen nur ein.

Hoffen wir auf die Zukunft, es kann nur besser werden.

Beim LiveAPI Import fehlte in GAPP wohl auch noch eine Fehlermeldung, welche voraussichtlich mit dem nächsten Update nachgereicht wird.

Der Fehler/Das Problem liegt wie gesagt bei geocaching.com aber GAPP bleibt bei einem Fehler an bestimmter Stelle noch "kommentarlos".

Hallo Zusammen

Habe jetzt Gapp entdeckt und installiert. Nur habe ich das Problem das er die Live API von GC.com nicht laden aber wiederum klappt es bei OC.com. meine Frage ist ist das normal?

I asume you have authorized GAPP for geocaching.com.
How are you trying to import geocaches through the LiveAPI?
Have you tried importing the Pocket Queries using the LiveAPI?
If you have geocaches in your database (e.g. by importing GPX files), can you refresh the geocaches using the LiveAPI?

Last weekend there were reports about issues with the LiveAPI, not being able to import geocaches. But this might not be the cause for you.

Yesterday GAPP V1.9.20.0 has been released with an additional alternative method for registering for Live API of geocaching.com.
Some people had problems with the authorization of GAPP for the Live API. A lot of times it had to do with cookies (removing them would a lot of times resolve the issue).
But to get arround this, GAPP has now an alternative authorization method wher you use your own default browser instead of the browser within GAPP (Microsoft IE).

This method is called Manual authorization and reachable via menu: LiveAPI->Authorize.
You will then get a dialog with 3 steps. First you press Authorize. This will open your default browser and you can then Authorize. After confirming the authorization on geocaching.com you get a code displayd within your browser. This code should be copied in the entry field of step 2 of the dialog.
Then you press Confirm as step 3 and you should be ready to use the LiveAPI functions.
