Testing outdoor gear

Hello everyone,

I'm with a company that makes outdoor gear, and am looking for a couple of volunteers that will be hiking, walking or geocaching over the coming weeks and who are interested in testing some gear that we're developing. We're not offering a financial incentive, but you would get to try some very cool stuff.

I hope posting this message falls within the rules of the forum, and my apologies for writing in English. If the moderators feel that this message shouldn't be here, please contact me.

Klingt wie die Werbemail, die ich am 21.02. bekam und in der von TomTom Freiwillige für einen Softwaretest gesucht wurden. Meine Adresse war angeblich hier gefischt worden.

Weitere Gemeinsamkeit: auf meine Antwortmail erfolgte bisher auch keine Reaktion.

In anderen Foren (outdoorseiten.net z.B.) hat kendoji auch schon geschrieben :?:

Naja, wenn das eine "Werbefalle" sein sollte dann verdient hier jemand ganz gutes Geld !
Da er dadurch an verifizierte Adressen mit Anschrift, Tel.-Nummer, E-Mail kommt und auch noch die Interessen angeben kann ist so ein Datensatz ca 100,- - 150,- € Wert.
Wenn nun 10 Leute in diesem Forum Ihm geantwortet haben macht das für manche schon einen Monatslohn aus.

Reply ging an eine tomtom.com-Mailadresse. Absender/Empfänger war angeblich Kenneth Refsgaard, der dortige Community Relations Manager.

Einen zweibeinigen Spam-Harvester halte ich daher für unwahrscheinlich. IMHO bekommen die Leute eine Woche oder so Zeit zum Antworten, dann werden die besten "Bewerbungen" herausgepickt.

Hab ihn mal angeschrieben und um "Erleuchtung" gebeten. Grundsätzlich habe ich mit dem Post so kein Problem, da er keinen Bezug auf eine Firma genommen hat. Schau mer mal was kommt.

I'd like to thank you all for your interest, and apologize for not replying to each of you. As some of you have noticed, I have posted a similar thread in other outdoor forums recently. I was not prepared for the huge response that I would get from these threads, and therefore have not had the chance to reply to each of you individually.

We only needed a handful of testers to start with, and I already have the people we were looking for in Germany. If we need anyone else in the coming weeks I'll be in touch with some of you again.
