Sachen gibts - kam heute mir der Mail:
I am a geocacher from Stockholm, Sweden, and I have noticed that your Fuerstenwalde geocoin has been dropped and logged in a geocache close to Stockholm.
I'm sorry to inform you that a lot of geocoins (more than 100, maybe 140) have been stolen during the last twelve months in the Stockholm area by a coin thief calling himself "Hillary Step". Some more info at gc.com's/groundspeak's Scandinavian forum and (most in Swedish) at geocaching.se > forum > trackables > Hillary Step (20+ pages). During late January and February there were no thefts that we know of, but we think that is only because we have succeeded to pick up most coins in the area. But in March six whole cache boxes with coins were stolen.
I suggest that you at once mark the coin as "Retrieved from" (or "Location unknown"), in order to make it "invisible" for Hillary Step at geocaching.com. I or any other geocacher thus hopefully get some extra time to get the coin and bring it to safety out of town.
I have also sent an alert to the cache owner/s, who may have marked the coin before he/she/they visit the cache.
Best regards
Memme
