I wouldnt see that a problem because you are not capable of looking traces.
So if you would like to see a mystery caches final location you would have to sit on your pc and watch other users.
How would you know wich user is trying to find a mystery? Or a Multi?
And still there are this invisible mode.

Also mal angenommen, ich hätte - also ich habe sie nicht, aber stellen wir uns einfach vor, ich hätte - kriminelle Energie.
Wenn dem also so wäre, dann käme ich als erstes auf die Idee, einen Trupp Cacher son bisschen nach ausserhalb zu lotsen und dann erstmal abzukassieren.
Navi, Handy, PDA, Geld, EC Karten und Kreditkarten.
Da geht schon was

Edit: Is ne doofe Überlegung gewesen....es reicht ja schon, nen 1/1er Tradi/Micro über die Leitplanke zu schmeissen - da kommen hier in der Gegend eh 20 Leute max 3 Stunden nach Veröffentlichung vorbei

live.geocaching.com may not show traces/tracks, but do you think it is impossible to write a software to generate tracks?

Hatte ich doch schon geschrieben - warum wird immer falsch zitiert? Es gibt aber Leute denen das egal ist ... und cool finden wie man sie beobachten kann und gerade beim einem LP sehe ich da Probleme, denn offiziell hat da keiner etwas verloren. Weiter erläutern muß ich das jetzt hoffentlich nicht. A und B sollte jeder selbst zusammenzählen können - ich hasse das schreiben von Romanen.

Last year I tested how easy it is to generate tracks in real time.
I hiked through scotland and my mobile sent track informations to my server in real time.

The example page is still alive at http://www.reisenetzwerk.net/schottland.php

It was cool. I had to cancel my hike in case of an accident in the mountains at ben nevis and I finished my hike in Fort William. Then I called to an girl friend and she said to me "look, there is a hospital very close to you".
She took a look on the webpage and saw my last position report and on the map an hospital only a half mile in west direction from the point where I was.

Howdie,

In fact, in the user's own "my live.geocaching.com" page there will be tools for managing the tracks. You can select a time period and view your path on the map, or export the track as a MapSource/OSM compatible file. Also, the videos (and other media you have) taken along the road will be automatically geotagged and visible on the map pinned to the place of happening.

ps. We will keeping live.geocaching.com now updated with latest news on the the upcoming open Beta - and we got the missing videos there now too

Theoretisch ja, aber man kann die Übermittlung abstellen oder wie ich mitbekommen habe auch abgeänderte Koordinaten übermitteln.

nix. ich sehe eine karte auf der sich nichts tut ausser dass dargestellt wird wo jemand gerade garantiert nicht ist. es erinnert mich irgendwie an flottenmanagement, aber ich kann den mehrwert für geocaching nicht erkennen. als projekt um zu sehen ob es klappt sicherlich spannend (für die macher), aber als anwendung ...
